Course description:
This programme raises awareness of current and emerging multimedia technologies, principles of information design for effective communication and approaches to software construction and its management. Through this awareness, students will be able to author multimedia applications by selecting and creating appropriate content. Some of these systems will be for stand-alone use whilst others will be for worldwide web deployment. The course also includes computer modelling and animation systems, including the production of cinematic effects and character animation, through to games programming principles and techniques as well as considering areas of suitable application.
Entry requirements:
Applicants must possess one of the following entrance requirements: GCE 'N' Level; GCE 'O' Level; GCE 'A' Level from non-Science related discipline; NITEC, ITE COS or NTC qualifications; Other equivalent qualifications awarded by recognized institutions can be considered on case-by-case basis . Overseas students or students whose first language is not English may need to complete the Professional Certificate in English.
Application details:
S$20 (Non-refundable) fee .Applicants in this programme must possess a C6 credit in English as a First Language (EL1) at GCE ‘O’ Levels. Applicants without a C6 credit in English (EL1) will be required to achieve : A minimum of band 6.0 in the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) conducted by the British Council. A minimum of 213 points (computer-based), 79 points (internet-based) or 550 points (paper-based) in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
